This is fascinating, thanks much for sharing. A few years ago I paid for a vocal coach package (the goal was to go down in register) but there was so much practice that I was supposed to do, not speaking in the new way but practicing individual words and blowing through straws or something and it was all so tedious that I gave up.
But one thing I noticed when I practice my voice training. It's when I'm getting it right and I can see my pitch on the app. When I can see I'm in the range of neither male or female or female. It feeds upon itself and the confidence just goes up and up.
[ It's because you're getting the changes quickly compared to, say hormones, which take forever. ]
I'm getting it right!.. And I can respond in the moment. That instant feedback is so helpful. Also I noticed recently, like you said, that I do taper off downward and my voice goes lower at the very end of the sentence routinely. Strange. But that's something that could be worked on ( Now that I see that i'm doing it). Voice training is a lot of work. And it's probably the hardest part in a way for me. We will get there.

This is an area that my cis friends just had no idea about. It’s such a mind job to try to talk differently
