Welcome to Veronica’s Second Act!

I started this site in February 2024, about three months after I socially transitioned and four months after starting HRT (hormones). So many people have never met or realized that they spent time with someone like me, a trans woman who transitioned at age 50. While not every article is about my experiences, most of my articles do incorporate how I go through the world either now or in the past. There’s a lot of vitriol out there about people like me, and so often trans, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming folks are not even invited to discussions about us. So this site is the reverse, where I connect with people proactively about my experiences so that you can get a view into what life is like. I hope you’ll find the perspective valuable, and I’m glad you are here.

Why subscribe?

A subscription is complimentary and ensures that you’ll see all posts. New posts get delivered to right to your inbox. Other than posting at least twice a month, I intentionally don’t have a set publication schedule. So subscribing ensures that you see new posts when they come out.

I intentionally currently only have free subscriptions. This is because I’m not earning a living from this site. I don’t want any barriers to allowing people to read my content as we need to allow people to read the perspectives of transgender people. So often we are dehumanized, and the antidote to that is the ability to gain insight and hear storied and perspectives directly from transgender folks.

Lastly, anyone can comment on a post and I’d encourage you to do so. But the chat feature is only enabled for people who are subscribed. While I don’t often start new chats, this is the only feature where you need to have an active subscription to access.

Future benefits

It’s certainly possible that I’ll roll out additional features to this site and it’s well within the realm of possibility that new features will be subscriber only. So subscribing ensures that you receive any new features that get rolled out.
